Become an ECHO Ambassador.

What will ECHO Ambassadors do?

ECHO Ambassadors are vital for spreading awareness of soil health and our mission to contribute to improving European soil health in local communities.
They will lead ECHO’s citizen science efforts and soil sampling in their areas, supported by our team. They can dedicate time based on their schedules:

April 2024 to January 2025

  • Be involved in designing citizen science initiatives becoming part of the ECHO team. Their profiles will be visible on the website for future projection and profile promotion.
  • Reach out to citizens and groups, encouraging their involvement in ECHO's initiatives and soil sampling.
  • Attend training courses by ECHO experts to enhance their soil knowledge.

Starting January 2025

  • Help to distribute soil sampling toolkits (ECHO kit) in their regions, supported by ECHO.
  • Join ECHO in local, citizen science initiatives motivating participants to analyze different soil types.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis.

Who can be an ECHO Ambassador?

Anyone! Whether you are passionate about soil health or community involvement, you are welcome to apply. No matter your level of expertise, you can learn during the training (April 2024 – January 2025).
 
We welcome applications from various backgrounds, including university or high school teachers, farmers, foresters and their associations, NGOs representatives, and more.
 
The main requirement is managing the toolkit distribution and sample collection after January 2025.
 
We are currently accepting applications from the following countries: 
Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Spain.
The Ambassadors program will become available in more countries in the future!
 
Are there other types of ECHO Ambassadors?
Yes! We are also seeking social media influencers, like artists, athletes, and bloggers, to promote soil conservation through their platforms.

Regardless of the outcome, know that you are welcome to participate in the project as a citizen scientist in our call for participation in January 2025.
