ECHO Ambassadors from UBU

We are proud that the Universidad de Burgos (UBU), through ICCRAM University of Burgos and the Soil Science area (Edafología), is part of the ECHO Horizon Europe Project as ambassadors, contributing its expertise developed through many years of research in soil health and citizen science.

From this role, they support strengthening soil awareness, knowledge exchange and citizen engagement, helping to advance sustainable soil management practices 

Their work is based on the statement that healthy soils are essential for addressing major global challenges. “Initiatives like ECHO help bring science, society and policy closer together to protect this vital resource”, says Rocío Barros, head of ICCRAM-EST research group. “Protecting soils today means protecting our future”!
