As part of this year’s World Soil Day celebration, our team got to visit the headquarters of the Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA). There, we discussed the future of #soil among fellow scientists, researchers, and stakeholders. Amid the topics mentioned throughout the event, there was the importance of urban soil and waste management, the production of natural textile fibers, and the meaning of circular economy. To quote the hosts, soil is the common thread linking our everyday lives to major ecological and political issues of our time. We couldn’t agree more! Thank you for having us 🌱
