Summer is officially here, and our project is also warming up! 🌻🌱

In June, we organised a series of activities with the participation of the end users of ECHO soil data. Before this happened, each ECHO partner taking part in this endeavour identified a target group and a case, which is particularly important for their region. Those cases became the main theme of these activities. Here are some of the cases we dug into:

🇫🇮 Forest soil health in forest policy development

🇮🇹 Soil mapping and monitoring for regulatory and policy purposes

🇩🇪 Fostering research on agricultural soil health

🇪🇸 Soil health and development of policies focused on agrosystems

🇵🇹 Soil health and producers’ engagement in extensive production systems

🇷🇴 Forest ecosystems and soil health

🇬🇷 Agricultural soil health in Mediterranean agricultural production systems

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Promoting society’s interest in soil health and fostering their interest in soil-related data and soil education

🇵🇱 The key role of soil ecosystem services in supporting circular agriculture

This series of activities included surveys, workshops, webinars, and discussions. We talked about:

🌱 Why is soil data important?

🌱 How is soil data used, or how could it be used?

🌱 What kind of soil data should be available?

The results of these activities will soon be available on our website. For now, enjoy a few “postcards” from ECHO!
